Beware of the politics of FEAR! If you vote in any election, simply, against one specific candidate, instead of because you, truly, support another, it would be a better idea, to give yourself, a check - up, from the neck - up, and take an objective, introspective look, at your real reasons, for voting, as you did! Begin your research, by examining, thoroughly, whether the negative information, being distributed, is truthful, well - considered, and/ or, tells, the rest, of the story, instead of, picking, and choosing, selectively (and, out of context), a specific phrase, and twisting - it, in order to appear, to the fears, angers, biases, prejudices, anxieties, etc, of some of the public. This nation has always been proud of being considered, The land of the free, which provides liberty and justice, for all. When, any candidate, seeks to polarize, instead of unify, the longer - term ramifications, are divisive.
The inevitable result of that behavior is electing, candidates, who are, often, ill - prepared, uninformed, or polarizing! With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, why we must all, carefully, learn, all we can, about what every candidate represents, seeks, and is qualified, to do.
1. Frighten; face facts; future; fruition: Every voter should, face the facts, and carefully, determine, who is best - suited, to bring the best future, to fruition. Don't be inspired, lured, and/ or, convinced, by anyone's empty rhetoric, vitriol, and/ or promises, but find someone, who is focused on bringing about, a viable solution, in a well - considered, quality manner!
2. Empathy; emphasis; endurance; excellence: Don't our public officials, owe those, they serve and represent, a willingness, and readiness, to proceed, with effective listening, and learning, from every experience, and conversation, so they understand, and address concerns, perceptions, needs, and the priorities of the electorate? This would lead them, to proceed, with genuine empathy, which would direct their emphasis, focused on, doing what's in, the common good! We need officials, with a combination, of focused endurance, and the highest personal commitment of excellence!
3. Attitude; articulate; anger/ angst: Demand they proceed, with a positive, can - do, attitude, rather than a negative, blame - and - complain, approach! Listen to the message, they articulate, and ensure, it aligns, with their actions, and focus! No one benefits, when anger becomes the priority, and the public, must proceed, with consistent, angst, rather than the common good!
4. Relevant; ramifications; realistic; responsive; responsible; rhetoric: Nothing is achieved, when rhetoric is prioritized over, relevant, well - considered, viable, sustainable solutions! Recognize, negativity, and appealing to anger, and fears, always has ramifications! Our leaders must combine, being, realistic, responsive, and responsible!
Wake up, America, and beware of the politics of FEAR, and anger! Will you commit, to becoming, a better - informed, voter?
